IAPAR

About IAPAR

There are several networks worldwide with their national chapters in different countries. Most of such networks are for academics. There are many national and international festivals that offer a space for interaction for performing artists. But there is rarely a network that tries to actually combine both, the artists/performers as well as the academia. Rarely does one try to find a bridge between these two worlds. At IAPAR the interdisciplinary approach is one of our key focuses towards looking at collaborations between artists and academics. This network is a brave step towards trying to look at multiple aspects of performing arts in one framework. This kind of network offers more interaction across the disciplines. To look at the experiential understanding of an artist and articulate it in a way that it contributes to the ‘knowledge’ is the direction in which IAPAR aims to work
